Working Memory (gridChallenge)

Hold it while it changes

cut-e's gridChallenge: a field of dots is shown and one lights up red — memorise its position and the order the dots light up. Between each dot a question appears (an equation, or two dot-grids to judge as rotated or symmetrical) to answer Yes or No. Each round is three dots with a question between each; then you click the three back in order. Five rounds.

What to expect

  • One dot lights red for five seconds — hold its place and the order.
  • A Yes/No question between dots: equation correct, or grids rotated / symmetrical (ten seconds).
  • At the round's end, click the lit dots back in the order they appeared.

What it measures

  • Spatial working memory
  • Remembering a sequence under interference
  • Divided attention

Instructions

  1. 1Memorise each red dot's position and the order they light up.
  2. 2Between dots, answer the question Yes or No within ten seconds.
  3. 3When asked, click the dots in the exact order they lit up, then Submit.

Tips

  • Trace the path between dots as a shape to hold the order.
  • Don't let a hard question wipe the sequence — answer fast and move on.
